About the Isle of Arran
Arran is the most populated island off the southern of the coast of Scotland. It is an hour’s ferry ride from mainland UK. The Isle of Arran is just 19 miles long but boasts a diversity of landscapes and seascapes. The pretty villages on Arran’s beautiful coastline are complemented by a rugged and mountainous interior in the north and green rolling hills and woodland in the south. With a only small population of around 5000, it has an impressive range of food and drink including traditional oatcakes, cheeses, ice cream, jams and marmalades, beer and malt whisky.
The 'Taste of Arran' products are made on this tiny island using, as possible, natural ingredients from the island itself. Each product captures the essence of Arran and every bite gives a taste of island life.
