About the Isle of Arran

Arran is the most populous island off the south coast of Scotland. It is about an hour by ferry from the UK mainland. The Isle of Arran is only 19 miles long but has a diversity of landscapes and seascapes. The beautiful villages on the beautiful Arran coast are complemented by a rugged and mountainous interior in the north and green hills and forests in the south. With a small population of around 5000 inhabitants, it has an impressive variety of food and drinks including traditional oatmeal cakes, cheeses, ice creams, jams and marmalades, beer and single malt whiskey.

The 'Taste of Arran' products are made on this small island using, as possible, natural ingredients from the island itself. Each product captures the essence of Arran, and each bite gives it a taste of island life.
